The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has instructed all licensees to update any changes to their contact information within seven days of occurrence, in accordance with the Licensing Regulations 2019.
In a statement released by the Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka, the Commission stressed that the directive is critical for maintaining effective regulatory oversight and ensuring seamless communication between the NCC and its licensees.
The statement highlighted that licensees must ensure their physical and mailing addresses are accurate, including details such as geographic coordinates and landmarks.
They are also required to keep their email addresses, telephone numbers, and the contact details of relevant personnel up to date. All updates should be submitted through the NCC’s eServices platform on or before January 9, 2025.
The NCC warned that failure to provide accurate and locatable contact information would attract appropriate sanctions, emphasizing the importance of compliance with this regulatory requirement.
