President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Ministers aspiring for offices in the 2023 general elections to resign immediately.
He gave the directive at the tail end of the Federal Executive Council.
He commended the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba for braving the odds to quit to avoid conflict of interest.
Buhari said: “I expect other members of this council seeking to be President to resign with immediate effect.
Those that are affected by these directives are the Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
