Two years ago, Nigerian Prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Church, in his usual manner spoke from his Lagos office to the political situation of far-away Somaliland.
Two years later, the few words Primate Ayodele said has materialized to become a shocking reality, with everything he said coming to play like a movie script.
Somaliland, since 2017, has been under the leadership of President Musa Bihi but in a surprising turn of event, the just concluded election saw the opposition leader, Abdirahman Cirro defeating the incumbent.
Cirro, leader of the opposition Waddani party, won 64% of the vote against Bihi’s 35%, said Musa Hassan, chairman of the Somaliland Electoral Commission.
“This election is not a win or loss for the candidates. It was an election of unity and fraternity and pushing ahead the Somaliland nation,” Cirro said in a televised address on Tuesday.
In 2022, Primate Ayodele in a prophetic revelation had said that the incumbent President will not return for another term whenever election holds because the people are tired of his administration already.
He noted that the incumbent would make some moves to win but if he doesn’t strategize well, he would lose a lot of popularity before the election.
Primate Ayodele’s call to the president was that of warning against an impending loss, a call to restrategize and to be proactive but sadly for the incumbent, the prophecy of an impending loss has been fulfilled two years after he was warned.
These were the prophet’s words,
“The president will make some moves to win the next election in Somaliland and this election will come up as a result of…. people don’t want the president again and if he doesn’t manage his political crisis, it might put him in a very big problem. He needs to be very careful, watchful and proactive in taking political decisions. He will do things to make sure he wins but if he doesn’t strategize, He might lose a lot of popularity”
It would be recalled that Primate Ayodele was recently celebrated for foretelling the exit of the ruling party in Botswana.
The party had ruled for 58 years and wanted to seek an extension but was stopped by the oppisition party.
Primate Ayodele had on several occasions long before this election held that the incumbent president would be disappointed at the election polls. He made it known that the outcome of the election would be shocking and disappointing to the ruling party.
These were his words:
‘’In Botswana, the president will make every effort and the country will want to move on to a stage but the president must be careful so he won’t be disappointed. In the coming election, the president will be disappointed, people will not want to vote him.’’
