Popular cross-dresser, and self acclaimed social media celebrity Idris Okuneye otherwise known as Bobrisky, has been sentenced to six months in jail with no option of fine for the offence of abusing the naira.
The court presided by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky on Friday.
It would be recalled that Bobrisky had pleaded guilty to the offense when he was arraigned before justice Awogboro last week.
He was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, April 4, and docked on a six-count charge bordering on money laundering and abuse of naira.
However , the court dismissed the money laundering charge and convicted him on the offence of Naira Abuse.
