Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on charges bordering on mutilation of currency.
The EFCC made this disclosure in Lagos, following the arrest of Bobrisky for abuse of the naira, spraying naira notes and mutilating currency.
Bobrisky, who has been involved in several controversies over the past few weeks, was arrested in Lagos on Wednesday night and is being held at the EFCC’s Lagos Command.
According to Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the EFCC, Bobrisky will be charged in court.
He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. He was arrested for abuse of naira notes, spraying of Nara notes, and mutilation of currency, among other crimes.
“It is very important to us that the Naira is restored to its dignity.
He will be charged to court soon, even though our investigation is still ongoing.”
